Refund Policy

IF I APPLY AND CANCEL MY BOOKING AT A LATER DATE WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK?

A full refund will be given once you inform the office that you wish to cancel your booking in writing before the 14th of August 2015. Any cancellations after that time will not be issued with a refund.

FIRST YEARS ONLY:

If you are a Leaving Certificate student waiting on results your rent is due by the 21st of August 2015. You will be issued a refund of your deposit once you cancel your booking in writing before the 21st of August. Any cancellation after this date will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

GENERAL:

If the Tenant terminates the Tenancy same must be done in writing in accordance with Section 6 of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2004.  A period of one months’ notice should be given. Failure to give one months’ notice will result in the Landlord withholding the security deposit. Under Section 50 Student Accommodation Regulations, all apartments at Shanowen Square are required to be let exclusively to accredited students during the academic year. Consequently, payment is per semester and Tenants terminating the contract during the semester, having given the statutory notice in writing, in accordance with Section 6 of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004, may receive a refund of rent only if the Tenant/Agent/Landlord can secure an accredited student Tenant as a replacement for the remainder of the semester, or part thereof.
